Welcome to V-Day West LA 2006 a benefit production of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" as part of the V-Day 2006 World Wide Campaign.
The V-Day Worldwide Campaign invites communities around the world to present productions of “The Vagina Monologues” to raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls.
The V-Day movement is growing at a rapid pace throughout the world, in 76 countries from Europe to Asia, Africa and the Caribbean, and all of North America. V-Day campaigns around the world raise awareness and funds in local communities, and empower women to create a world free of violence.
Thank you for your interest in The Vagina Monologues and V-Day West LA 2006. My allegiance to this project has increased tenfold in the three years since its inception, and I am privileged to have cultivated relationships with women of unique and varied experiences.
These women—these Vagina Warriors—have taken up residence in my consciousness, and have changed the way I pay attention to the world. As time progresses, the world grows more connected, and it is our responsibility to give voice to the women and girls around the planet who are forced to live in silence. Please join us in celebrating, illuminating, and listening, to the women whose voices are crying loudest to be heard.
