ALANNA UBACH
Alanna is best known as Serena, the sorority sister/best friend to Reese Witherspoon’s character in both “Legally Blonde” films. She’s also quite popular in the indie film world as the star of “Denise Calls Up” and had starring roles in “Johns,” “Freeway,” “Clockwatchers” and other Sundance-launched films.

Alanna played Naomi in “Waiting,” which opened last fall. One of the benefits of shooting the Lions Gate comedy in New Orleans was meeting her boyfriend on the set (Skyler Stone, who showed her an early version of “Con,” his Comedy Central show, which she later guested on). She looks nothing like herself in the film nor did she in her last film. Alanna went to great lengths to win the role of Isabel, the sexy Hispanic, forty-something maid-turned-caterer in the wildly successful “Meet the Fockers,” the #1 live action comedy ever. Alanna is a beautiful much-younger actress who is Latina but doesn’t necessarily look it with her piercing blue eyes and light skin tone. So she darkened her hair and skin, went to downtown LA for the authentic wardrobe, interviewed people who had the job that she wanted to portray and landed the role over many age-appropriate character actresses. The result was a scene-stealing performance in Universal’s hit comedy, “Meet the Fockers.”

Alanna was also one of the leads in A&E’s 2004 holiday movie, “Karroll’s Christmas” as the Ghost of Christmas Present. Her self-produced/written/directed short film, “A Mi Amor Mi Dulce,” is doing well on the film festival circuit and she’s hoping to take her one-woman show, “Patriotic Bitch,” from LA to New York this year. She got her start as a young teen starring off-Broadway in “Club Soda” and “Kinder-transport” and the kid-oriented science series, “Beakman’s World,” before beginning her film career in “Airborne,” Renaissance Man,” “The Brady Bunch Movie” and “Sister Act 2.” She’s funny, sexy and high-energy while at the same time, very open and warm.

Alanna Ubach just signed a deal with Warner Bros. television to develop a show for her and she is a co-founder of a sketch comedy team, Velcro Troupe.
