DANNY WOODBURN
Danny Woodburn is a versatile entertainer on stage, film, television including the comedy club circuit and has become a fixture of American television with frequent appearances on some of today’s most popular shows.

Danny has had over 100 television appearances which include recurring appearances on the Emmy-winning series Tracy Takes On...(HBO), Murder, She Wrote, Becker, Charmed, Baywatch, and Early Edition. He recently guest starred as David Spade's long lost father on 8 Simple Rules. He guest starred on numerous television shows and was the sword-wielding adventurer Otli of the Conan series and took on the mythical bad-boys of UPN’s, Special Unit 2, for two seasons.

Most notably Danny is known for Mickey Abbott, the volatile but lovable friend of Kramer’s, on NBC’s Emmy award-winning, history making, show Seinfeld. Since his first appearance on the show in 1994 he has gained speed as an actor and garnered respect from industry professionals. His character on Seinfeld was an important role for Danny, in the sense that the writing and portrayal of the character is positive and non-stereotypical.

On the big screen Danny has appeared in ten feature films and received critical praise for his performances in Death to Smoochy and Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her.

On a more personal note Danny was born in Philadelphia. He graduated from the film and theater college, Temple University where he received the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award of 2001. He is a supporter of Little People’s Research Fund and forever thanks Dr. Steven Kopits for his surgical expertise and research that has allowed Danny to pursue his dream. He has two very big brothers and his Mom, handles all his press in his home town. He married his love of seven years actress-playwright Amy Buchwald on September 7, 1998

Danny is thankful for the opportunities he has had to speak out, both as a comedian (Natinal Lampoon’s Funny Money) and public speaker. He has spoken at a Little People’s Research Fund benefit and more recently was the keynote speaker at the Inclusion Network of Cincinnati. Additionally, on the talk show circuit, which has, included, CBS Sunday Morning, Good Day LA, MSNBC, Sally, Leeza, Access Hollywood, and A&E’s Biography, he has been able to raise awareness of the continued derogatory and dehumanizing treatment of Little People in society and the media. Currently he serves on the Screen Actors Guild Performers With Disabilities Committee.

Credo: To present myself as a human being, as an artist, a conscious actor free of objectification or dehumanization.

“The Segment that works best is a romantic interlude between Kathy Baker (Picket Fences) and a Dwarf named Albert, played to perfection by Danny Woodburn (He Was Kramer’s Friend on Seinfeld.) Woodburn should by rights be an Academy Award contender for his work here. He won't be. Too bad. The relationship between Baker and Woodburn is touching, real and worth the price of admission to this fascinating first film”
