Talk Show Host, Reality TV Host, Radio DJ, Producer, High-Fashion Model, Popular Pin-up Girl, Actress and Spokes model, Sam Phillips has had many dreams. The thing that makes Sam different is that she has the strength of self to make whatever dream she has come true. Sam wanted to ride the reality wave of television with a show that was different, fun and for the everyday guy, but never mean or spiteful. She found her vehicle, Xtreme Fakeovers (XFO) from PAX-TV. XFO takes everyday, men or women next door, to a professional Hollywood make-up artist. They are outfitted with prosthetics, body padding and elaborate special effects make-up (ala Mrs. Doubtfire). Then they are put in front of friends and family, presented as someone else performing a series of tasks without their true identities being detected. It is the everyday people practical joke with the super bonus of Hollywood effects. "Every show is completely different than the last one. New people, new situations and new challenges to make them into someone else," says Sam. "As of yet, not one person pulling a prank has been recognized underneath their special effects make-up." When the weekly XFO reality show isn't keeping her busy enough, you can find Sam on the airwaves on 97.1 the FM Talk Station/KLSX co-hosting the popular program, The Single Life, every Saturday from 9 PM to Midnight. The very frank, no-nonsense look that Sam and her co-host, Gary Garver take on dating, mating and maintaining a relationship in Los Angeles provides information with great humor. Sam began her mainstream hosting career in 2001 with the breakout hit show Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, the relationship television series from Columbia Tri-Star. You can see Sam in numerous music videos from artists Al Yankovich, Van Halen, Amy Grant, Motley Crue, Simply Red, The Scorpions, The Doobie Brothers, Dave Coz, Iron Maiden, Jeff Foxworthy, and Alice Cooper, just to name a few. “ Her first gig as a leading lady in a motion picture came in London in 1987. Love Potion was the brainchild of Monty Python Alumni, Graham Chapman (writer, producer) and Julian Doyle (director). Sam enjoyed acting so she moved to Los Angeles where she became a film veteran, having acted in over 40 movies. She has starred in Deceit, Phantasm II, Angel 4: Undercover, Sexual Malice, Fallen Angel, Weekend at Bernies II, Spy Hard and Rescue Me, among many others. Most recently, she co-starred in the N.Y. Independent Film Festival Award-Winner, Just for the Time Being. She's widely known as an 80’s Pop Icon after her recent appearance in Patrick McMullan’s photographic diary of the decade entitled So 80's. She began as an international teen modeling sensation and spent a decade working with Wilhelmina Models in New York, Paris, London and Japan.
