Noah Poletiek stars as the popular character ‘Twitch’ in Walt Disney Pictures’ Holes. The feature film is based on the award-winning young adult's novel of the same name written by Louis Sachar. Says the fourteen year old actor, who held his own with Jon Voight, Sigourney Weaver and Shia LeBouef: “I enjoyed working on this film, it was a wonderful experience to work with such great actors, I learned a lot and value the experience.” Noah got his start at nine years old when he auditioned for his first part and won the role. He was encouraged by the director to pursue acting as a career and taking the advice Noah joined a local Community Theater Group. He has since appeared on stage as ‘Woodstock’ in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, ‘Templeton’ in Charlotte’s Web, ‘Louis’ in The King and I and his performance as ‘Edmond’ in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe earned him an Inspiration Award. A real triple threat, Noah sang and danced his way across the stage in The Sound of Music as Kurt von Trapp for a nine month run. In addition to his regional theatre credits, Noah appeared in the PBS dramatic series Madison Heights. A CBS television movie When Billie Beat Bobbie followed about the historic 1973 tennis match between middle-aged champion Bobby Riggs and young feminist Billy Jean King. He also filmed national commercials for several Fortune 500 companies. Noah’s feature film debut was playing the deadly accurate paperboy in Road To Redemption, produced by Billy Graham’s Worldwide Pictures. To prepare for the role Noah practiced as a paper boy for the family comedy. Noah’s career is on the rise, he recently filmed a starring role as the lead character Max Flynn in Alpine Picture’s The Blue Light a contemporary adaptation of The Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale of the same name. The story centers around the twelve-year-old Max, who is transported to a dreamland populated by magical creatures. Noah was delighted to work opposite Academy Award® winner Ernest Borgnine. The film is currently in post production. Noah's favorite subject, in school, is Science. When he is not in front of the camera, Noah is a typical kid who enjoys practicing his guitar, playing video games, listening to oldies, shooting hoops with his friends and being a supportive big brother. Noah is determined to stay grounded. “My family is very important to me, I love being an actor and I thank God every day for the gifts He has given me.” |
