EPISODE SYNOPSIS: May 14, 1931. Eliot Ness and his men notice that the top bosses are leaving Chicago: Frank Nitti has gone to Atlantic City; Bugs Moran and Jack Diamond have left, too. As Ness puts it, "The rats are leaving the ship." Obviously, they want to be out of town when someone important is hit. What Eliot doesn't know is that he is the target. The Syndicate has imported Elroy Dahlgren, a veteran of WWI-- he was an expert at lobbing hand grenades, as they put it, he had A Taste for Pineapple; in the 13 years since the war, he has practiced his craft a lot. Syndicate boss Danny Mundt (Tom Tully) is paying Dahlgren 10 grand to rub out Eliot Ness-- as soon as Mundt leaves town, too.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:March 31, 1934; Prohibition is over. Al Capone is still running things from Alcatraz, his new money-maker is "white slavery" which refers to prostitution; his main operation is run by a mean gangster named Mig Torrance (Mike Kellin). Right now, Eliot Ness is conducting his 7th raid since being assigned to closing down the houses.

Meanwhile, Mig Torrance, 50% partner with Capone, gets a visit from 3 of Capone's boys. Red Foran puts a gun to Bob Wheaton's (Paul Langton) (chief liaison between Capone and his empire)head.

Ernie Torrance (Dick York) and Red Foran and 2 more of Mig's hoods go to Tijuana to bring 10 hookers into the U.S. Ness and his men go south, and plan to catch them at the U.S.-Mexican border. But Red Foran is tipped by a gas station attendant that the "no-touch-men" are waiting for them; Red makes a phone call to Chicago, and Mig says to get rid of the evidence.
