I MUST SAY Hal Wallis "sneaked" Elvis Presley's "Girls! Girls! Girls!" far enough away from Hollywood -- in London yet; there is more to this than meets the eye.
Not long ago I told you that Elvis came in third on a newspaper poll asking "Of all the celebrities which would you rather meet personally." Only Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip topped our boy Elvis.
But the sneak of "Girls! etc." brought to light another enthusiasm, Jeremy Slate, who plays the heavy, went over so big that Hal has signed him to a long term contract. Maybe you recall Jeremy from TV's "Malibu Run" series or in another Presley film "G.I. Blues."
